Rocket Scientist in the making - Monday, September 17, 2007

Dr Benedict's son, Steven, has settled nicely into dorm life at CU. As you can see in this photo, he has transferred his organizational skills from his old bedroom to his new dorm room. Fortunately, his roommate shares his love for a "lived-in look"!

Steven is a freshman in the Aerospace Engineering program at CU Boulder. He plans to double major in Electrical Engineering as well. Yes, that means that he is going to be a rocket scientist. So far, he is finding his course load very manageable, and has joined an ultimate Frisbee team.

We wish Steven the best of luck in his college endeavors.

1st Place Employee - Friday, August 24, 2007

Congratulations to Eye Care Center employee Eddie Schmidt for taking First Place in the Saddle Bronc riding event at the Boulder County Fairgrounds on August 17, 2007. Eddie is employed at the Eye Care Center as a Medical Assistant, but we have known for a long time that his passions in life are horses and rodeo. A little known fact that; in his younger years, Eddie has won the Colorado State Saddle Bronc Championship Title on three separate occasions and was runner up at least eight other times. He has been sidelined from competition the past year due to an injury when a horse, which started bucking before the gate was fully opened, caught Eddie’s foot against the fence, which resulted in a twisted knee. Eddie’s goal is to win the Saddle Bronc World Championship for the 50 and older age bracket of rodeo contestants.
All the ECCNC employees wish Eddie good luck in the pursuit of the world championship title!
